2019 Element 1.0 Jacket

In the shoulder seasons, you'll find that conditions are far from ideal, but not so intense that you'll form icicles on your beard whiskers. In these times of year, you'll find a solid minimalist jacket, like our Element 1.0 Jacket, will be the ideal piece for your ride.

The jacket is made from our Element™ Soft Shell material, which is both wind- and water-resistant, as well insulating. And as the 1.0 iteration of this jacket, this fabric is used throughout in order to provide coverage and protection from the elements where it's needed most. The fabric is also extremely lightweight and malleable, so you'll experience the perfect amount of stretch in all of the right places throughout the motions of cycling. Its use equates to a lightweight, minimal barrier between you and the elements, which is perfect for fair conditions or any fall/winter riding at a hard pace.

The Element 1.0 also includes additional weather-fighting properties, like a pop collar that prevents unwanted chills and moisture from entering the jacket via the neck opening. And lastly, three rear expansion pockets and one zippered security pocket at the back handle storage duties.

Awesome looking, however...

Like the styling of this jacket, it looks really cool! Unfortunately, I cannot really recommend this jacket for moderately cold weather. We live in California and winter is mild when compared to the east coast. I was hoping I could wear this jacket with one merino base layer in winter, however you feel the cold right away when you step out while wearing this jacket: it does not stop wind effectively and does not hold heat either, it makes me wonder: which conditions was this jacket really designed for? coz it's definitely not cold or moderate cold, then why or when would you need this jacket? it looks cool in the office tho ;-)

Great fall jackt

Super comfy jacket in temps around 40 degrees with just a jersey underneath. Love the jersey pockets in the back. I'm 5'10"" and 210lbs with a 43"" chest and first perfect

I definitely recommend this jacket

I got this jacket about a month ago, and it has been on most rides since. Being windproof, yet thin, it is a great outer piece. Living in the snow this time of year, I am able to use this jacket and then layer underneath it to find my sweet spot for riding temperature. I've used this piece in temps as low as 20 degrees. I opted for the Rocket Red color as it is highly visible and makes me feel more comfortable being on the road this time of year. Being 6' tall and around 160lbs, I opted for the medium. The jacket fits well but does have enough room inside for layering. If this was a piece I planned to race in, which it's not, I would go down to a small for a tighter fit but the medium is perfect for base miles. The extended sleeves are a really nice touch that eliminates any gap that usually exist between the gloves and sleeves. I have not used the thumb cutout in the cuff, but it's nice to have the option. All in all, 10 out of 10 on this piece.
