While there's a certain degree of truth in applying terms like "upgrade" or "value" to our Tarmac Comp, we prefer to refrain from doing so. Why? Because the Tarmac Comp stands on its own two wheels as a bike that's born to perform and able to take your riding and racing to the next level.

Like the S-Works Tarmac iterations, it features a Rider-First Engineered™ design that that applies specificity to every tube size and carbon layup for every frame size. This creates the optimal balance of rigidity, weight, and responsiveness, so every frame, regardless of its size, performs just as we intended. You'll also find an identical, Grand-Tour-winning geometry to past Tarmacs, plus a high-end FACT 10r carbon fibre construction.

For the spec, we selected components that deliver the best bang for your buck, like stiff, reliable DT Swiss R460 wheels, a mix of Shimano Ultegra 8000 and 105, and a bevy of Body Geometry components that maximize performance by providing the utmost in comfort.

  • The FACT 10r carbon frame combines the lightweight performance and compliance with our Rider-First Engineered™ design that ensures every frame size has the same legendary climbing responsiveness and descending prowess you'd expect from a Tarmac.

  • FACT carbon fork with a tapered construction provides incredible front end stiffness and steering response for instantaneous accelerations and high-speed descents.

  • The Roval SLX 24 rims, laced to DT Swiss hubs, are lightweight and durable alloy wheels that work well for both training and racing.

Love it (own it since 2017 SEPT)

Got 16000+ miles on it, love every mile I have ridden on it. the only thing I have missed on it is electronic shifting and nice wheels, this bike is a beast. I would buy it again.

Owned for 18 months. Brilliant Bike

This bike is fantastic. I researched a lot before buying the Tarmac and I've been really happy with my choice. I bought the SL5 Comp a year and a half ago, upgrading from a cheaper entry level bike. I am 180 cm tall and the 56cm bike was a perfect fit. I did pay for a professional bike fit at circa £100 but I feel this was definitely money well spent. The bike has been a joy to ride. It climbs really well, power tranfer is very good. I was training for the UK Ironman which I completed in 2019 and so I've done many many miles on it. The bike proved to be a good measure for the task and I had complete confidence in it leading up to the event and on the day. The Ultegra breaking is excellent (I'm on rim brakes) and Ultegra gear shifting is still faultless 18 months on. The only thing I would reconsider is the colour. The white looks great but it can be harder to keep clean. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking to buy and I would definitely look to replace with the same in the future.

Almost 3 years and 10k miles later: still love it.

Have owned it now for almost three years, I ride 100miles a week. This bike is great. Transfers power immediately, love taking it on mountains as well, Recently just moved to 28mm tires (continental GP 5000), feels so much better. Love tarmac, would buy next level if I am upgrading next time.

I would buy it again

It took me along time to decide on my new Bike but i did decide on the Comp And after 4 yrs and 2000 plus miles it only gets better every year. Its stood the test of time and it rides as solid as it was new. Fast and Quick and very predictable solid confident bike. No need to upgrade for it has it all for long fast rides with experienced riders at 15 plus miles per hour on average.

My first Specialized ... and I would go back!

Have had my new Specialized Tarmac Comp for 3mths now and absolutely love it! Consistently beating PBs, climbing better than I have before, and the responsiveness of the frame is incredible! Just wants to take off! My last bike wasn't a cheap one, and I was very sad to lose it when the time came, but this has turned out to be a very worthy replacement! Think I'll be looking at Specialized again! Thanks.
