S-Works Romin EVO

Keep it low and aero without sacrificing comfort. The carbon-railed, ultra lightweight S-Works Romin EVO is a high-performance road saddle that's contoured to put you in a position for optimal power transfer and comfort as you put pressure on your competition. The Body Geometry channel is designed to maximize blood flow, while the saddle allows you to maintain comfort easily, even while in a competitive, more aerodynamic position. And when you add in a FACT carbon fiber shell, our medium density Level Two padding, and oversized carbon rails, you have a saddle that's ready for anything.

Excellent saddle- but 30mm lost at rear

""Weight"" reduction as achieved among other things, reducing rail length and angle at the rear. So, whereas on previous bikes, Specialized saddles, I could run a 25mm offset. The new 2020 Specialized saddles, sadly, forced me to order 200+$ new 0mm offset seatposts. Worse, two RETUL fitters, with all the amazing tech, appeared unaware until I displayed a used 2016 Specialized Romin Evo, and a 2020 side by side. to their dismay, the rider lost a good 20mm reach as the rails had shortened and the middle point of the rails moved far foward. No problem, buy a Specialized 0 seatpost no? Catch- try most other bike brands, none are offering inline/0mm offset. so as good and amazing this saddle is, you CANNOT move it to your normal reach on 15 or 20, 25mm seatposts. Prior to this we could all but a replacement, e.g. Deda, 27 or 31mm seatpost. However, with custom aero D shape posts, that is now close to impossible. Options? Custom saddle somewhere? ENVE custom bike? Within the Specialized stable, all tops saddles have short rails now...So,, BEFORE you keep it, ensure that it can achieve the reach!!! Fortunately Specialized has an excellent trial period, but man, took 2 rides of back pain to discover that I was too far back before ordering a new seatpost. But, on new bikes seeking now, i had to defer buying TWO new bikes due to the unavailability of long rail sizes and default 15mm seatpost offsets.. How does it ride? Somewhat less comfortable than the Prev Romin Evo; in 155 I get thigh clearance, and, esp 35-45km/hr, It supports well enough to not feel it as more weight transfers on bar and pedals. Keeps steady tem (Power Arc cushions overheat could only ride once on a cool day)
