  • What do I get access to when buying an event ticket?

 
One ticket is valid for the duration of the event and provides you with access to all entertainment in the event area plus free use of the Test Bikes. You will also have free use of the showers and toilets. Please check the terms and conditions for using the Specialized Test Bikes.
 

  • Must I bring my own bike?

 
We highly recommend bringing your own bike. Even though Specialized will have a huge range of test bikes we anticipate high demand each day. Grizedale Mountain Bikes is the local hire centre for hourly bike hire.
 

  • Can I use my own bike on the shuttle?

 
Yes, you are able to use your own bike however you must queue in the shuttle load area. Specialized does not take responsibility for any loss or damage of personal bikes.
 

  • Do I have to use the shuttle if I’m using a test bike?

 
Yes, it is mandatory to use the shuttle for your safety. Specialized staff will be on hand to help you load and unload your bike.
 
 

  • How many turns do I get on the test bikes?

 
There is no limit to how many times you can use the Test Bikes however after each ride you must hand the bike back and re-join the queue.
 

  • Can I make a reservation for a test bike?

 
Unfortunately, we don’t offer reservations for Test Bikes but we will have two shuttles running to ensure there is a swift turnaround.
 

  • Is there anywhere to store my bike securely?

 
Unfortunately, we don’t have personal bike storage facilities at the event.
 

  • What is the minimum age to use the Test Bikes?

 
Riders wanting to use the Specialized Test Bikes must be over the age of 18. There is a kids test track on site which is available to riders of any age.

 

  • Is the event family friendly?

 
Yes, we have an enclosed kids test track and there is other family friendly entertainment at the Grizedale Trail centre (Go Ape etc). Please visit the forestry commission website for further information https://www.forestry.gov.uk/grizedale
 

  • Can I buy food and drinks at the festival?

 
Yes, all meals of the day will be served in the Tipi Tent, please check this page for more information. Cash or card payments will be accepted
 

  • Is Camping free?

 
Yes, camping is free should you bring your own equipment or camper van. We do have pre-erected tents of various sizes that can be hired for the duration of the event, please visit this page for more info – all profits from tent hire are being donated to the Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.

 

  • Do I need to pay to go on the airbag and pump track?

 
There is no charge to use the Pump Track or Airbag but at certain times of the day they will be reserved for coaching. Please check the event timings to see when these areas are available.
 
 

  • How do I sign up for the coaching?

 
The coaching sessions are for female riders only. You can sign up at the registration tent from 08:30AM each day, there is no charge but places are limited for each session and only 1 session per rider over the event.
 

  • Is parking Free during the event?

    
Yes, parking is free. There is a designated field for parking, please take a look at the event map and keep a lookout for the signs as you approach the venue. In the unlikelihood that any vehicle should get stuck, we have provisions for towing drivers out of the field.
