2020 Tarmac Pro Disc – SRAM eTAP

When we developed the Tarmac Disc, we didn't just want it to be fast. We wanted it to be fast everywhere. Long climbs, windy flats, Grand Tour stages, local fondos—we built a race bike to be the most complete out there. How’d we do it? We started with our 500-piece, Rider-First Engineered™ frame with a perfectly-tuned ride quality for every size, add in some serious aero tech that makes it 45 seconds faster than the Tarmac SL5, and then made it 20% lighter. Nothing is lighter, faster, and better handling.

As with all of our pro-level bikes, the Tarmac Pro eTAP delivers similar performance to its older S-Works sibling, but at a more palatable price. SRAM’s new Force eTAP AXS 12-speed groupset handles shift and braking duties, while the Roval CL 50 carbon fiber wheels slice through the wind. Top that off with an S-Works handlebar and seatpost, as well as the fan-favorite Power saddle, and you’re ready to tackle anything from a local road race to your first gran fondo.

    Perfect Bike

This is far and above the best bicycle I've ever ridden. I have nothing negative to say. I did have an issue with the seat post creeping down but, a good cleaning and some fresh carbon build compound seems to have fixed the issue. The geometry is perfect. The shifting flawless. It climbs like a mountain goat and decends like its on rails. Power transfer is unbelievable. It accelerates like a top fuel dragster.

A fantastic all round road bike

I live in Southern England with lots of punchy hills but no mountains. This is my second road bike, my previous one being an excellent Kenisis Aithein. My local bike shop (Wildside Cycles in Tunbridge Wells) lent me a Tarmac Disc Ultegra last summer. It opened my eyes to what up a bike can do and I was sold! I tried to wait until the Spring to order it and lasted until January! Wildside got it in a matter of days. They set it up tubeless on 28mm Vittoria Corsas which I'm running at 70lbs pressure. I cannot praise this bike enough. The SRAM Force groupset (46/33 with 10/33) is perfect and sooo smooth. The discs inspire so much confidence. The cockpit feels really comfortable and absorbs all the bumps that the tyres don't. The S-Works seatpost and saddle are also great. And the colour; When the sun shines off it you cannot fail to love it. I'm smitten!
