    2018 Men's Camber Expert 29

Full-blown, big suspension trail bikes are cool, but they get uncool pretty fast when it's time to ride them up the trail. With the large rolling stock found on the Camber Expert Carbon 29, however, you'll be moving with maximum efficiency uphill with enough travel leftover to tear the descent.

This is achieved by combining our full FACT 9m carbon fibre Trail Chassis with an M5 aluminium Camber FSR rear end. The combination results in the perfect blend of responsiveness, lightweight, and durability.

At both ends of the bike, you'll find sufficient travel lengths that deliver plenty of plush suspension—all without going overboard on big hit capability. This means that you don't have to sacrifice efficiency, weight, or sheer speed to ride how you want. And with our Trail 29 Geometry and lightweight, stiff and smooth Concentric Pivot at the rear, we can guarantee it.

The other trail component of the Camber is utility, and along these lines, it features our fully integrated SWAT™ Door at the down tube of the frame. Open it up, and you're able to safely and securely house your ride essentials right where you want them—on the bike.

For the build, we selected components like a SRAM GX Eagle one-by drivetrain with a Truvativ Descendant crankset, powerful SRAM Level TL brakes, a FOX 34 fork, and a custom-tuned FOX FLOAT rear shock. Altogether, it's a bike that's can do it all, and do it all fast.

    What a bike!

I've owned my new Camber Expert 29er for three months now, coming from a Trek Fuel EX. I grew up riding/Racing BMX, and have been riding MTBs over a decade. I like the poppier feel of these shorter travel bikes. First thing I noticed was how great of a pedal platform it had. And man, these Roval carbon wheels are magic. It's amazing how much speed you can build because of their lower rotating mass. When it gets rough, this thing shows amazing stiffness, it's very confidence inspiring. I love the upgraded suspension, it is definitely worth stepping up for the improved components, versus trying to do it yourself over time. This thing is dialed, especially with the 12 speed cassette. My first reaction riding with my normal crew was that it was actually tough relearning which gear to be in versus my old 1 x 10 speed. Lol, everyone wanted to trade up for my 12 speed. Not happening! I have a Large, and while the 200/180 brakes could have a bit more punch, they have saved my neck and don't fade. Some people talk trash on the stock tires because of the missing intermediate lugs... but those people aren't laying the bike down far enough to even engage the side lugs. Simply put, these Cambers have the beefy DNA of a Stumpy, with a lighter, poppier feel. It's a hot rod. If you can still find one, don't hesitate to snap it up.
