Such a great bike. Very light and fast and very fun on the downhills.

I recently bought my Ambush helmet, and absolutely love it! The fit is superb, it is so light you almost forget you're wearing it! The adjustable straps are a welcome addition and I love the styling of it, and the red matches my Trail gloves perfectly 👍

First of all I love specialized products and am brand loyal. The Ambush 2 fits well and I'm sure in an event of a crash would be super protective. However I really don't like the visor. It looks goofy, it large and sits high up on the helmet, not adjustable and provides zero protection against the sun. I thought overtime I might be able to accept the visor issue, but I'm looking for a new MTB helmet as I really don't like the style of this helmet.

This is the third Ambush 2 helmet I have purchased. They are stylish, comfortable, and protect my noggin. I didn’t actually need this one, but it was such a great deal that I couldn’t resist buying it.

I've tried a variety of top brand helmets, TLD, POC, Leatt and Bell to name a few. I ordered the same size as my road helmet, I sit comfortably around the middle of M size. While the helmet sits alright on the front-back axis, the hard sides push against my head. After tightening it's uncomfortable. It's also pretty hard to put any beanie or other thin hat under it. The visor is outside of my field of view entirely. It's purely a decoration.

Coming from a TLD A2 Ambush design 2 a bit bulkier. Fit wise a tad bigger for my 56/57 noggin. Don’t seemed to have much difference in weight though. But overall offers more protection coverage. Considering to get tactic 4 as a spare helmet

This is the worst design. The visor is not functional, is not adjustable, does nothing for blocking the sun and the visor makes it impractical to ride in the sun. I am in the middle of a twenty five mile ride and I stopped to write this review. I bought the Ambush II because I had great luck with my Ambush I. If I had not crashed I would not have bought a new helmet. I will be giving this helmet away and buying another more functional helmet. Truly unfortunate, I genuinely have liked my Specialized purchases. Did anyone ride with this helmet before final production started.

Helmet is great, comfort is next level.

Having owned an Ambush 2 for 10 months now I will say the following, 1. It is comfortable. 2. The visor is USELESS! It blocks neither sun nor rain. It constantly gets in the way and because of it's design, seems to hit every single low hung branch and leaf, which will eventually lead to damage. 3. Specialised only carries replacement visors in Black. No other colours. So WHEN you break one, and you will...good luck getting a replacement. Best of all, Specialized doesn’t care. They will just direct you to the spares website and politely say, thanks for the £150, now go away. (I'm being nice. The email from them seemed far less so).
