Beking Monaco

November 27th 2022

Which cycling festival can boast about having the biggest names in the peloton in its event? Beking Monaco was born from the desire of the former Quick-Step cyclist, Matteo Trentin, to support the Princess Charlene of Monaco and Fight Aids Monaco. foundations. Bringing together the biggest cycling stars for a day in a unique Criterium where ambassadors and locals come together to support the development of sustainable transport.

Born from this desire, the Beking Monaco event is addressed to lovers of the practice but also to ambassadors, families and children. It has welcomed the biggest names in international sport such as Peter Sagan to promote cycling.

A day to promote cycling
An emblematic event

Beking Monaco is now positioned as the Monaco's main cycling event. It offers to people the opportunity to discover and try out the joys of sustainable transport while promoting charities.

Beking Monaco is an event created by the professionals themselves. The criterium could not therefore be missing and will once again ensure the spectacle of the event. But Beking Monaco is also aimed at amateurs and the youngest. The PRO/AM race will allow amateurs to compete against professionals while children will have the opportunity to ride on the circuit alongside the professionals. In short, Beking Monaco is a day of celebration for everyone.

An area dedicated to sustainable transport

In Port Hercule, the Beking Monaco event includes an area allowing visitors to try out new electric bikes on a 1,300 meter circuit. This track was none other than the one taken by Formula E during the Grand Prix, so emblematic for Monaco.

Races of the day

During Beking Monaco, two races will delight the public present at the event. The first, in the morning, is a race bringing together both professionals and passionate amateurs in a mixed team competition: the PRO/AM. 15 teams made up of two professionals, an sport athlete ambassador and two amateur cyclists will compete on the same circuit as that used for the criterium.

In the afternoon, the professionals will this time race against each other on the criterium. A difficult circuit of 1,300 meter should ensure the spectacle.

A charitable goal

Beking Monaco is a cycling event where children, amateurs and professionals meet. But it is also much more than that because one of the objectives of the event is to raise funds for two charitable foundations of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. The first works to prevent drowning by raising children's awareness of the risks of the sea and teaching them to swim. The second aims to accompany and support people living with HIV.

Because sport can also have a significant impact on social life.
