The S-Works Vent EVO brings the outstanding breathability of our Vent technology industry-leading Body Geometry design off-road. As the newest member of our Vent family, the S-Works Vent EVO goes watt for watt with the S-Works Recon when it comes to performance, durability, and technical innovation. But much like the eyes are the windows to the soul, the S-Works Vent EVO’s ventilated mesh panels are windows to speed and comfort.

You’ve heard us say “Cooler Is Faster” before, right? Well, we believe it, which is why we are bringing maximum ventilation to gravel and cross-country with the S-Works Vent EVO. We utilized our advanced engineered mesh to encourage airflow through the toe box, tongue, and medial panel of the shoe, keeping feet cool during even the hardest efforts.

We also designed the S-Works Vent EVO to adapt to a broad range of foot profiles with an all-new last shape and innovative material combinations. The engineered mesh and Dyneema® panels work in concert to keep the shoe moving with your foot without restriction. The S-Works Vent EVO fits more feet for more comfort across more surfaces.

While the S-Works Vent EVO redefines comfort in a performance gravel and XC shoe, it’s still bringing the race-ready performance features of our World Cup-dominating Recon shoe to the party. Like our Body Geometry sole and footbed technology, scientifically tested to increase power and efficiency while reducing the chance of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment

  • Built with Purpose. Backed by Science. Our Body Geometry trio of the Longitudinal Arch, Metatarsal Button, and Varus Wedge work together to increase efficiency, optimize hip, knee, and foot alignment, and reduce injury risks.

  • The Vented Mouthport toe box pulls air in through the front of the shoe and channels it around your feet, while the entirely new engineered mesh upper and tongue let that air flow freely throughout the shoe—aiding in both cooling and sweat evaporation. Along with the engineered mesh in the upper, we added a layer of Dyneema® Mesh to keep a strong hold of your foot, ensuring pro-proven power transfer.

  • Our stiffest and lightest XC FACT carbon plate maximizes power transfer: Stiffness Index 13.0

  • For power transfer, our PadLock™ heel construction cradles the heel to ensure optimal power transfer. In fact, it’s been scientifically-proven to improve acceleration.

  • Two independent, alloy BOA® S3-Snap dials backed by the BOA® Lifetime Guarantee so you can fine-tune your level of foot-hold on-the-fly.

  • Titanium alloy cleat nuts can rotate to position pedal/cleats 5mm rearward.

  • SlipNot™ rubber heel and toe tread for confident traction on all terrain with removable toe studs.

  • Two-bolt cleat pattern fits all major MTB pedals.

  • Approximate weight: 300g (1/2 pair, Size 42)

Awesome - of course

I had been eying up these shoes for some time and a lucky combination of sale price and wifely good mood sealed the deal. These are my third pair of Specialized shoes so I knew they would be true to my 44 size and they slipped on like gloves from day one. No issues with MTB and gravel riding. A period of break-in will make them even more comfortable. If it's a wet day I have a set of slip-on neoprene covers GTG. Specialized is expensive but you get what you pay for and watch out for your local deals.

Ah...my happy feet

This is my second gravel biking season on the hills of middle Iowa where it gets hot and humid in the summer. Last summer I only did one or two bike rides that were 50 miles or longer and one of those was on a cool, rainy day. My cleats (Shimanos) felt great, I was happy with my introductory pair of shoes, but they aren't gravel cleats, they don't breathe and they are narrow (which, ordinarily isn't an issue for my foot). However, this summer I've been biking longer, am able to attack hills more aggressively and it gets hot and humid. I did one bike event that was 50 miles and my right foot was in agony by mile 38 and by mile 45 it felt like my toes were ballooning inside my shoe - I had serious doubts I would be able to finish the ride and that, when I did stop and take off my cleat, my foot would be puffy, black and blue and potentially with a stress fracture. To my astonishment, as soon as I unclipped and walked around, my foot was pain free. When I took off my cleats about 30 minutes later, there was no puffiness. After a lot of research and shoe review reading, I decided my feet simply had swelled from the heat and pressure of climbs but had no room to expand. I narrowed my search for a new cleat to this model of Sworks and a lace-up option. Given the muddiness of our region, I quickly decided lace-ups would be a mess to maintain (not to mention try and untie after a muddy ride) and went with the SWorks. They have been great! I've done several 50+ miles rides, a 100K and my feet are happy. I still wear my Shimano's for shorter rides but love these Sworks.

The body Geometry System in

The body Geometry System in this shoe builds up the outside. It turns out that I have collapsing arches which means I need the added support on the inside of my shoe. These caused me knee pain. I will be selling them and not wearing them.

Perfect warm weather racing shoe.

These are definitely the most comfortable MTB racing shoes I've worn. A great fit and the Boa is excellent. So quick and easy to adjust on the move.

Fit seems inconsistent. Toe box

Fit seems inconsistent. Toe box is wide. Pressure points under cable tensioners (buckles?). Maybe more hours riding will sort this out. I have a narrow foot so maybe this is the issue. Would like to return / exchange but they are used now. Definitely try these on before you buy (I purchased them online).

Absolutely love these, perfect fit

Absolutely love these, perfect fit for my foot. Very stiff and light. Vents well. As another reviewer mentioned, the strap doesn't feel needed but might be useful for others to dial in the fit.

Awesome shoes. Fit like a glove. Comfortable from the very first ride. The metal BOAs are a huge improvement over plastic. Not sure I understand the need for the Velcro strap, but at least it doesn't get in the way.
