easy to rip

I got this bike on sale easiest the greatest purchase of my life climbs great and descends even better. I dont even have to pick a line it just rolls through everything like nothing. great bike however for the price point I wish the drive train was just a bit better.

Super Capable All-Rounder

2nd E-bike, also have a Heckler. I can say this bike feels so much more fun. I thought it would be a heavy DH but it is not. Doesn’t feel heavy, can take technical climbs with ease and smashing through rock gardens. The DC fork really kept it going where I pointed and still felt agile. Don’t be fooled, I was! Love the Alloy frame!

transformative!

For my first emtb I knew I wanted to go big; as in big motor, big battery, and big travel. Got it on the current sale. I've used it mainly for sessioning jumps and on short but speedy downhill runs. The amount of sendfidence is unbelievable. Then rinse, climb, repeat all over again. S4, at 178CM, was worried about the long reach but I think it's actually great because I feel the bike rewards a low forward aggressive riding stance. Had to re-set the headset / dual crown 'cause they were coming loose after every ride, but now nice and tight ever since. Also had to throw in 1 rear spacer and 2 spacers on the boxxer to keep from bottoming out; but standard fair tweaks for any new bike. For me it's the most transformative mtb item i have ever gotten.

Amazing bike!

I bought this on sale and all I can say is wow! I ride trails, single & double track and fire roads and it does it all very easily. I was a little hesitant since it’s a downhill bike but with the Specialized sales going on and great reviews it was hard to pass on. In stock form it definitely felt like a downhill bike - all good. I threw on some taller bars, flipped the chip to high and turned the fork bumper stops away from the frame for better turn radius and it feels amazing. Playful, nimble and fun.

Magic Carpet Up the Climbs

Really capable bike. Absolutely smashes up the climbs. It’s on the heavy side so better suited for steeper knarly terrain and fire roads climbs. But that’s not to say it can still be a hell of a lot of fun up techy climbs and on the tamer trails. Best purchase I’ve made. If you value downhill this is a weapon. Can easily triple the runs from an analogue bike. Sizing is great. I’m 180cm and riding S4 and I don’t feel stretched out. Very stable bike and the extra weight makes you more confident jumping with enough quality designed suspension to absorb the big hits with ease. 100% would purchase again

Great bike

This bike is pretty much what I wanted as an enduro bike It handles tight single tracks and bombs the downhill I’m sorry for the three star rating but I have my reasons First up are the wheels - the sub 30mm internal rims don’t cut it No manufacturers recommend 2.6 types on a sub 30mm rim My feeling is Spech had a lot of downhill rims not being used I found the Kenevo easy to setup which is part of the reason I chose this bike I’m very happy with the ride quality The bike is extremely tuff and a hell of a lot of fun What I’m really disappointed in is this Kenevo doesn’t use a Universal Derailleur Hanger SRAM introduced UDH in 2019 and is found on many late model Specialized bikes Which is a pity seeing SRAM have now released “Transmission “ into its UDH Transmission is what the eBike users need If the UDH was on my Kenevo it would had given it another star rating The days of a specific disposal derailleur hangers are gone SRAM has seen to that with the release of UDH

'22 KenEX... F-A-S-T

2nd eMTB owned, 1st Turbo Specialized. Other bike is a '21 Trek Rail 29er w/full FOX Factory sus (38 w/Smashpot coil conversion/DHX2). While I really enjoyed the Rail & had gathered 11 KOM's aboard it, I felt like the bike was holding me back from going any faster. Enter the KenEX. WOW...just WOW. This thing in a S4 has what I can only describe as "snappy" handling & steering response that really suits my riding style. It is surprisingly easy to maneuver. Switchbacks & tight turns aren't an issue w/the dual-crown fork unless extreme. Despite being a 27.5 bike, the rear gets hung up much less & she picks up speed through the chunder so much so, that I had to adjust my breaking points after nearly overcooking some turns. Oh, did I mention that it can climb like a boss too? Fast, agile bike that I wouldn't hesitate to buy even if just using for a trail bike. I'm an agressive rider & bigger guy (6'2"/210) who needs the beefy sus. Just buy the thing if you like going hard into the paint🤙

Excellent handling bike

Great handling bike rides smooth over every bump and lump. Slight niggle with the seat post dropper button but that can be changed. Good geometry feels comfy to ride and throw around on rough gnarly tracks. Love the digital display setup for linking to your phone which has speed and motor boost displays. Overall 9.5 out of 10 would be 10 out of 10 if the seat post dropper worked properly. Good to have long suspension on it too for the drop offs and jumps and landings.

Best damn ebike out there.

I was one of the lucky ones who got mine on a limited release from Specialized last year. I was already riding a 2019 Kenevo but the 2022 came with a dual crown Boxxer and that’s the upgrade I was going to do anyway. I had no idea how much of a change this was going to make. You will not believe it either. Rock gardens and steep rocky descending are so much fun now. Very few things do I ever take a pass on any longer. This bike handles it all. I suspect we will see a lot more bikes coming out with this set up in the very near future after people find out about this. Double black? No problem!
