Sizing is off

I could not wear these gloves. I had bought these, based on favorable reviews, to get a little more wiggle room over my current XL gloves from a different brand. 20 mins into my first ride I was left with unbearable discomfort and pain in my fingers. Why? The thumb length on the XXL size might as well be for children. It's so comically short that when I wrap my hand around a bar of any kind (these are cycling gloves last time I checked) my thumbs are scrunched and bent inwards. Shockingly there is a good 1 to 2cm missing in the thumbs, no exaggeration! The XXL size seems to have lengthened palms only, which is confusingly useless in a cycling context. Those with long fingers must look elsewhere. It's a shame really because the construction and materials are fantastic. I'm so utterly disappointed in this purchase since I paid full price and it wasn't cheap.

Waterproof, functional, comfy

I bought these at a local shop in Portland, OR (full price, now they're hella marked down) before beginning a section of the Great Divide Mtb Route (where I am now). I wore them on a few wet and surprisingly cold mornings riding and around camp. At one stop, the famous Nye cabin/llama and alpaca rescue farm in Montana, I was helping to wash dishes with cold water outside. It had been oddly cold and rainy for July. I wore the gloves as impromptu dish gloves fully immersing my hands in a pan of cold water up to the cuff. My hands stayed dry and the rubber palms helped me hang onto soapy dishes and pots while I washed and rinsed.

Need Work

Gloves were purchased based on the waterproof claim. Rode in the rain for multiple hours for a recent charity ride and they barely lasted 45min before they were completely soaked through. They do get a star for blocking the wind and overall quality. The biggest issue is once air dried they are misshapen and don't fit at all. Will most likely attempt to return to retailer. Have own other waterproof technologies and had good luck, guessing OutDry isn't the next best thing.
