Omni Water Bottle Cap

I've had 4 clear lids for at least 2 years and none of them have grown any mildew. In fact, this style of lid (in clear) is the only Specialized lid that you can see where the mildew would grow if you let it. After a ride, I just shake my bottles with tap water, make sure the valve is pulled out and then shake just the lid to get the extra moisture out. The regular lids have a hidden groove that will grow mildew and the bigger version of these are easy to disassemble, but the valve just doesn't work well and it shoots too much water too hard then doesn't let your bottle expand fast enough to put it in your cage Minus one star because the valve is too stiff sometimes and doesn't let the bottle expand back fast enough

The valve works great. Then after a few uses, it starts to grow mildew-mold under the soft rubber that you are unable to clean. I have scrubed it the best I can, soaked it in bleach, frozen the lid between uses, etc. To test one yourself purchase a clear one and see what I mean. Pretty disgusting. Or just purchase a black one and never mind all this.
