It looks like a good helmet but it was too small for me. Especially from the sides. My head circumference is 58 cm and I ordered size M. Way too small.
I come from a kabuto mtb helmet that I've bought in 2016, and I didn't feel a night and day difference. Ventilation is similar, maybe in some situations the propero is a bit better ventilated, but it's not like turning the AC. Maybe because my previous helmet was also a high end helmet. It definitely looks better, but the trifix is just a couple of mm of rubbing my ear. Luckly, it didn't

I bought this helmet two times now. Last year size L for myself and this time size S for my son. Both fit well
Previously have really enjoyed several medium Sworks Prevail and Propero helmets. I trusted that because the Propero was so good, why would the Propero III be any worse? The non-adjustable trifit is garbage. It smashes my ears and there is nothing I can do about it. My head is 56cm so the size is right. No wonder it was on sale for so cheap. I'll be returning this.
Fits so good to my head and very light weight, highly recommended. Quality is outstanding and yet super stylish.

Really disappointed. Helmet seems good but no adjustments of the Y bracket under the ear. And the straps are very short. So it cuts under the ear. I have to try and resell the helmet.

The lack of adjustable height of the y-connector piece below the ear straps made it such that the straps pulled up on the bottom of my ears, so even though I had the correct size helmet for my head diameter, it didn’t fit comfortable.
A helmet that can’t adjust in the ear is useless and only meets the needs to those that have the right distance already preset. This helmet might be safe in terms of safety but without able to adjust the ear distance/fit it can cause ear rub/pressure that is not comfortable.
Even after adjusting the fit, the helmet has a tendency to slide forward which is not ideal. After just over 12 month's use, I've had to replace the lining twice. The ANGI app works well but it uses battery power swiftly so take a spare !
Crazy light, good air flow, but not the coolest. You don’t notice helmet on head. Looks cool. I have small head. Size Small is perfect. 100% happy with purchase, features, & value!!
This helmet fits very nice and is super light even for rounded heads. Be careful with the mate painted finished because can start to peel if you scratch it.
Great helmet, but I miss my visor from my mountain bike helmet.
Especially good for wearers with bigger heads. I like that it is slightly rounder than other helmets I have worn, giving it a comfort fit for my bigger head. It is airy enough for super hot days too. Highly recommended for bigger rounder heads!
The inner core of the helmet fits so very tightly it hurts a little. I'm hoping that it will ease up with usage.

I always appreciated the venting and fit of my Propero 3 but after a crash yesterday on our spirited group sprint at 35mph where two guys tangled in front of me and I couldn't thread the needle, I'm a fan for life. I flipped the bars and landed on my head on the back of the helmet which of course took the impact and was destroyed but saved me from a huge injury in my opinion. Called my local Specialized Distributor (Incycle Fort Collins) and they had a new one waiting on the counter when I arrived this morning. Got back on the bike today, all systems go and my new helmet is a trusted ally :) Cheers for a product that really performed for me when I absolutely needed it. Thank you Specialized.

Helmet is light and comfortable however I find a constant stream of sweat always rolling down from my forehead and into my eyes and glasses. The cushion in the front of the helmet does not provide much sweat absorption.
Great value when bought on sale. Fits well although I ordered a large rather than the med/large that I usually buy from specialized(I am a 58). Lots of ventilation and plenty of adjustability. I bought the orange for visibility but it has a slight peach tinge….still highly visible.

Absolutely love my Propero helmets. I have had a Propero II since 2012 and decided to get a new helmet. The ONLY thing I do not like is that the yellow MIPS sticker is on the outside (no issue) but falls apart is you try to remove it, and also leaves behind an ugly spot once it is gone.

I went down this week when a rider on the bike trail decided to veer in front of us. My head smacked the pavement incredibly hard. We were going approximately 20 mph. My helmet cracked in a couple of places as it should, and I got up and walked away with no head injury or concussion, just some road rash and sprains. This helmet saved me! I already have a new Specialized MIPS helmet on the way. Thank you Specialized for making an incredibly safe piece of equipment.

The fit of the helmet is ideal for me. The helmet is very breathable and lightweight. When I need a new helmet (hopefully not soon) I would get this same model at this point. The straps are highly adjustable and not noticeable when in use.
Definitely designed for oval shaped head. Two different sizes weren't for me. I had to return it because it was really tight on the sides/temples. Other than that it seemed to be a well made item. I wish it would have fit better because I liked the amount of ventilation it had.

Been using the Propero II helmet for years, the new Propero 3 is just as good. Highly recommend for anyone with a small head :)
With respect to protection, this helmet has done its job and saved my noggin (possibly life) multiple times. My only complaint with this helmet is the straps need to be more adjustable to fit better around the ears.
I think this is a great helmet for the price! Fits well, super light, great airflow, and MIPS! I Just wish the fit system was a little bigger so it would fit around my occipital bone more comfortably. Sometimes I can get a headache if the helmet is adjusted too tight or positioned wrong on my head. Otherwise a great helmet!

The comfort and fit is great and light weight for my routine road rides. The integrated safety and MIPS literally saved my life after I was struck by a 4WD on the freeway. Although, I won't walk again my head damage was near minimal and I'm still here today. I've highly recommend this product to everyone I know.

Amazing and light weight and even better on the price
I purchased this helmet about a year ago, my first Specialized helmet. My prior helmet was aging and didn't have a MIPS liner. Two weeks ago, I had a major crash when a car pulled out in front of me and I went over the handlebars in my attempts to avoid being hit. The helmet cracked in 2 places + scratches all along the right side, but my skull was undamaged. the rest of my body wasn't quite as lucky but I'm so thankful for the Propero III helmet. (prior to my crash, I'd logged 1000+ miles in it in all conditions and found the ventilation and comfort to be really good. absolutely no complaints!)
This helmet is a good affordable version of the S-works Prevail helmet. It has similar looks although it's a little more bulbous and a little heavier but at 1/3 the price.
Very comfortable with good airflow. I didn't really notice it at all which is probably the biggest complement. Struggling to find a place to secure my sunglasses though...
In comparison to the older model the airflow is dismal. Although, I understand the advantages of the MIPS system i believe this is sadly the culprit. Furthermore, if you are unaware, after one crash (major or minor) and you’ll be asking about crash replacement, MIPS is designed to break to protect your head. I am look at other and/or older products from Specialized, only because I still find the fit to be the best on the market.
This helmet fits great, is light weight and provide great air flow. It looks good and I have attached the angi crash sensor which has a spot on this helmet.

Got into a solid wreck last night with a pretty major head impact. Literally not even a headache. My neck is sore from the impact but my head is absolutely great. Helmet looks fine as well but reordering for safety and definitely getting this same one. Absolutely recommend.
I have a 24cm head circumfrance. Nice fit. Low profile. The straps could be made of a thicker material though.

I got a medium. I have thick hair which I need to wear low on my neck or unattached for the helmet to fit, but that's too be expected. The helmet fits snugly and comfortably. I wear it in winter with a hat on and just turn the wheel at the bank to adjust to fit.

I bought this helmet 3 years ago. One of the selling points at that time was the inclusion of the ANGI. I ride solo 99 percent of the time all over the country. Should something happen, knowing that my girlfriend will be notified immediately of exact location is a great stress relief. Fast forward to today. While on a typical morning ride on familiar roads I encountered Eddie, a stout female pit bull with a full-on rage against cycling and no restraint. I was broadsided by a near 100 lb raging dog doing 20 mph on a rural country road. The resulting time and space conundrum found me on the ground in milliseconds. I am ordering a new Matching Propero 3 Helmet today without the inconvenience of a concussion. I'm sore, torn, bloodied and bruised, But very much alive and able to finish the ride under my own power. The helmet is toast, busted in three places, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do, keeping my grey matter off the pavement when it was needed most. Thank you Specialized.

This is a terrific helmet, and very well made. Unfortunately, it did not work with my head shape so the fit wasn’t where I needed it to be. But Specialized we’re greet throughout the process, accepting my return and fully refunding my purchase when it didn’t work out.
I rode on a path I had never ridden before. Came to a steep downhill grade that immediately had a small climb following. I was probably going too fast at 25km/hr or so, I hit a dirt or sand patch,tail end whipped out as I tried to recover, I lost control and went head first into a chain link fence post. I broke my helmet, gear shifter and brake.. but totally worth it to not have killed myself in that collision. Concussion, and other minor injuries, but this helmet was a life saver. THANK YOU SPECIALIZED!!!! Your technology in this helmet is greatly appreciated.

I purchased a Specialized helmet as a secondary in use when me Giro was not dry. Well, it goes to show that the Specialized is lighter on long rides, vents better and is more comfortable than the Giro.
Good helmet. Does many of the same things well as the original Propero, though forehead venting not as good as it used to be, also gained a bit of weight. The straps on the III are annoying, over the ears (can’t seem to find a way to avoid this) and the cinch constantly slips so have to readjust every time. Still has a good fit for my head. Used to come with a visor. Ok for the price, but wish Specialized kept the original formula, closer to high end without the high end styling.

This helmet is lightweight for what it is and it is comfortable. I have a pretty hot head and this is well ventilated. It's well built and doesn't feel flimsy, even with its lighter weight.

I really like this helmet. Fits well, easy to adjust, provides great ventilation, includes MIPS which is important to me. Ear straps are not adjustable but work fine for me. I bought at a shop, so I tried it on first. The one problem I have is the false advertising on the box. There is a tag on the helmet that states 'This Helmet calls for Help', there is a label on the box that states 'This Helmet Calls For Help' and lists ANGi as a feature. It does not state this helmet is ANGi ready or ANGi compatible. And while your website states the helmet is ANGi compatible, I would think most people will go to a bike shop to test out and compare helmets. So the poor dealer is stuck explaining. You should really fix this.
Can’t adjust straps so they end up pressing on the ears. Do they have engineers at all?!

Great helmet. I just need a helmet that can protect me well, and not too expensive. This helmet is the best fit. However it’s a little bit tight on the sides, I don’t know if it’s normal or not. But still very comfortable when putting them on.

Recently upgraded to this helmet after trying on a few at my LBS. Noticeably lighter than lower priced models. Removable, washable liner. Very adjustable to provide custom fit. Although I hope never to test it out, the helmet is MIPS certified for skull/brain protection. Fits nicely around my AfterShokz headset. So far, I really like my choice to buy this helmet.
Honest review after 8hrs of use: Very comfortable Heavy (compared to my last 2 helmets - Giro and Van Rysel) Noisy - quite squeaky if you have any head movement Looks good

First impressions, it looks and feels fast! Great breathability and amazing comfort. However, I have larger ears and the straps are very close to the straps. This does not bother me though as the straps are very soft and did not provide much if any discomfort throughout my rides.
Received my Prospero helmet today. Nice looking helmet and my head fits well inside. One problem. For large eared people, the strap loops are too small for large eared people ! This would make for an uncomfortable helmet on a ride. Not sure what's with manufacturers these days. It was the same with a Kask and POC. My Specialized Prevail helmets had plenty of room for my ears.
I need to ride this helmet to write an evaluation but fits good at a static fit and looks good too! I wish it came in gloss colors.
The straps did not come low enough to lay below my ears. I had to return it.
