2018 S-Wrap HD Handlebar Tape

The S-Wrap HD Handlebar Tape sets the mark for high performance comfort. It features a diamond texture for incredible grip, as well as a gel backing that pulls double duty. By this, we mean that the gel adds a bit more cushion to the hands, while also helping to absorb road vibration. It also makes re-installation on other set of bars a breeze. Additionally, this tape is incredibly tough and durable, so you get the Holy Grail of handlebar tape—strong and comfortable.

Great Tape!!

This tape is really nice. Really comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I'm pretty sure it's a little heavier then the standard tape. But it's a great buy.

More robust than your average bar tape

Yes, this tape is a little thicker and stiffer than your average tape, so you'll need to pull a little extra tension when wrapping it. Once installed properly, it's incredibly cushy, tacky, and durable because of the materials used that also make it a little more intensive to install. It's backed with tacky rubber that grips the bar well even when exposed to water, so it doesn't shift on the bar to leave gaps over time. Once you try this stuff you won't want to go back to flimsy cork tape.

Great Tape!

Don't listen to these other whiners. I've used this tape on my cross bike for over a year and it's still tacky, cushy and awesome. Doesn't get slick when it gets wet from rain or your sweaty hands in really high temps. I only saw those other reviews when I came back to buy more. Sorry they don't know how to wrap bars properly.

Not an easy re-wrap

I liked the feel of this tape and the cushion but I could not get the tape to wrap smoothly around the curves. I also could not get the bar end to stay no matter what I did. I also feel there isn't enough tape to wrap using a figure 8 around the brake levers (I also tried without a figure 8 and still seemed like there isn't much leeway). I'm no expert, but I have wrapped my own bars and never had a problem. If this tape needs to be wrapped a bit differently, then written instructions or a video would be nice.
