2018 Men's Tarmac Expert

The Tarmac Expert with Shimano Dura-Ace finds the optimal blend of value and performance and ups the ante.

Like the S-Works Tarmac iterations, it features a Rider-First Engineered™ design that applies specificity to every tube size and carbon layup for every frame size. This creates the optimal balance of rigidity, weight, and responsiveness, so every frame, regardless of its size, performs just as we intended. You'll also find an identical, Grand-Tour-winning geometry to past Tarmacs, plus a high-end FACT 10r carbon fibre construction.

To top off this legendary frame, the Expert features a full Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 groupset, Roval SLX 24 rims laced to DT Swiss hubs, and a bevy of Body Geometry components that maximise performance by providing the utmost in comfort. It's everything you need to take your racing to the next level, and more than enough to bag some PRs along the way.

2nd Time Around

This bike is/will become a legend. I had an SL5 Expert 58 and sold it bc it was a bit long. Also was poised to move into a gravel- all rounder and had been test riding all sorts of stuff. Alas, I just couldn't get my head around a do it all bike, disc brakes or relaxed geo and in the process ran across this in a 56 at my LBS. I had previously considered the smaller size on my prior SL5. Took it for a test ride and side-by-side compared it to the new SL6 with Ultegra mech. The smaller frame/reach coupled with the DA made it a no brainer. The do-it-all bike with disc brakes will have to wait. Nothing I've ridden compares to the efficiency, smooth stiffness and sharp handling of the 56 for me. Cosmic paint scheme is far out!
