2020 Roubaix Sport

With six wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix Sport now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 1.5 that gives you more control on rough roads, a new Pavé seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that's shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix.

This Roubaix Sport provides a tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn't come with any compromises. We spec'd it with Shimano's 105 11-speed groupset for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as smooth and sturdy DT R470 Disc wheels, the all-new S-Works Pavé seatpost, 28mm Turbo Pro tires, and our fan-favorite Power Sport saddle.

Comfort and Performance Blended

I have about 300 miles on this bike and it is one of three bikes I ride on a regular basis. It is my ""go-to"" road bike. I knew that I wanted an endurance road bike and compared the offerings from all of the major manufacturers. It performs well without being twitchy like my older road bike. The only thing I have changed is putting on 28c Conti tubeless tires after getting three flats early on. The conversion was easy and the wheels were truly TLR with the addition of tubeless stems. The front suspension dampens things without being noticeable. All-in-all a great bike at this price point.

AWESOME BIKE

This bike is Amazing!! This is the best bike I've ever had. The ride is extremely smooth and comfortable. It is fast and super lightweight. I was sceptical about paying this for a bike but it was well worth it. I usually ride at least 4 times a week and 2 of my rides are 25 miles and 31+ miles respectively. This bike makes the longer rides relaxing. I was riding a hybrid bike before but this bike takes riding to a whole new level. The shamano 105 gearset, carbon frame, hydraulic disc brakes, seat post and future shock make this a solid 10 out of 10!

Quick and snappy

You will fall in love with this bike! It's crazy lightweight and crazy fast, only 9.08 kg!! I've had this bike for a week now and we've racked up about 100 miles getting to know each other and I couldn't be more excited, this is a great bike and a good value. The frame is insanely light and aero, the Shimano 105 gear set is very smooth, and the hydraulic brakes have some serious stopping power, even in a wet climate like Alaska. The Future Shock actually does take the vibration out of uneven asphalt even on the stock wheelset/higher PSI tires. This is a serious upgrade bike for someone (like myself) that has been bombing around on an aluminum frame for a while and is ready to join the world of carbon. 10/10!

A dream bike

I wanted my first road bike to be one that would help me love (and stick with) cycling: this is it. It's incredibly comfortable. It's smooth. It's fast. It handles well. It's design is sleek and sporty. My partner and I purchased road bikes at the same time, so I've had something to compare the Roubaix to. First, this seat is much more comfortable than those typically included on less expensive bikes. Second, the shifting is smoother than less expensive Shimano groupsets. Third, the FutureShock is a great little addition that adds a noticeable amount of comfort to your ride. And lastly, the geometry of the bike strikes a nice balance between pure race-machine and features associated with endurance bikes. In short, the bike is practically perfect and I look forward to adding many more miles.

First road bike!!!

This is my first road bike and it doesn't disappoint. Light weight and built well. I'm 5'8"" and 240 and it has no issues. I have tried riding before with your cheaper box store bikes and it didn't last. It's amazing how much more enjoyable the ride is on a good quality bike.

An Awakened Love!

I haven't been on a road bike for over 28 years. I used to ride a Peugeot. Due to this pandemic I was unable to continuing swimming so I pulled out my old Specialized Expedition that is 20 years old, it is aluminum but still is as heavy as a diesel truck! When my friend that handed me down the Peugeot , told me she spent $12,000 for her S-Works Venge I thought she must be crazy. I had not realized how bikes had changed and what it cost now to get one of these gems. I started researching and with much encouragement from my friend to get a Specialized, I am happy to say after three rides of 20 mile each I am hooked. This machine is unbelievable!!! This Roubaix Comp is so comfortable and the shifting is amazingly easy and right at your fingertips. I don't want to stop riding! Can't wait until the quads get more muscle so I can really hit the hills! I would RUN don't walk to claim one of these rockets!

Perfect upgrade

Went from a Giant Contend 3. Rode it about 3 years/ 1500-2000 miles. Great entry level bike. When the time came for wanting more, i tried out multiple different brands of bikes, and this one just felt the best to me. Comfort, speed, looks, enjoyment, its all there. I wanted a bike that didnt feel bulky with huge tires, rode smoother than my giant, had a better groupset, etc. this ticked every box. Imo its the best bike you can buy for 3k or less. It handles new england potholes with ease, climbs fantastically, feels nimble and agile, and the hydraulic disc brakes are phenomenal. Kudos to Specialized on this one!

You won't be sorry!!!

Love the bike - had it for 6 months. Fact 10 is light and responsive and Shimano 105 is nice and smooth. I have a long torso, so I had the bike shop install a 130mm stem, so the handling is a little funky, but I've had the same issue with every bike I've owned. Not sure who at Specialized decides on the color choices, but I'm guessing it's a pretty boring person!!!

Best bike I've ridden so far

I purchased my Roubaix Sport a few months ago and have currently put over 1,500 miles on it. One thing I can tell you is I absolutely love this bike, everything from the styling, handling, drivetrain, reliability, and comfort. Compared to other bikes I have ridden, the future shock makes rides much more comfortable when going over bumps and bad roads. The new FACT 10r carbon frame is light, aerodynamic, and has a great design. The 11-speed drivetrain rides nice and smooth, especially when going up steep hills. Overall, the Roubaix has been my favorite bike I have purchased so far ever since I started road cycling.

Fast and Light

I just spent more than I ever thought I would on a bicycle - $2900 - while it's still early I don't regret it. This bicycle is super fast, very light, handles bumps, is very steady, responsive, and just looks darn good. I have the dove gray and blue which I really like. The future shock is great for handling those bumps in the road. Shifting is no problem at all. The bike I have been using, for comparison, is the Specialized AWOL. I wish they still made that bike. It's built like a tank and weighs about as much but is a great riding bike but not near as fast. I can plow through bumps, gravel, unsteady terrain and keep on going I think the AWOL is a great bike. The 2020 Roubaix sport I would compare to a Camaro. The AWOL I would compare to a Dodge HD pickup truck. Both great vehicles. If you are in the market I would say stop by your closest dealer and take one for a spin. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I feel like I just bought a $10,000 bicycle for $2900.
