    Turbo Como 3.0 650b - Low-Entry

    Icon

    2020 Turbo Como 3.0 650b - Low-Entry

It's cool to go fast, but it's only fun if you're comfortable. Sadly, speed and comfort rarely come together, but the Turbo Como 3.0 650b with a low-entry design is out to change that. With a comfortable geometry that makes getting on and off the bike and putting a foot down super easy, a sleek and stylish design, and our exclusive, award-winning technology, you'll get an extra jolt of power that'll make riding just as fun as it is functional.

Beginning with the integrated Specialized 1.2 E motor, the Turbo Como proves itself as the ultimate city bike. The 1.2 E uses the same hardware as our 1.2 motor, but it features a tune that prioritizes efficiency. This means less peak torque and maximum output. Of course, it still features a near-silent operating design with our Custom Rx Street Tune that takes the output and makes it the most usable for an urban environment. Think of it this way: The more power you put out, the more power the motor puts out, and this makes accelerations from a standstill at, say, a traffic light both quick and efficient. The belt driven motor is also smooth, silent, and free of annoying vibrations. And the max speed? 20mph.

For the Como 3.0, we developed a custom Specialized U1-460 battery that seamlessly integrates into the frame, is lockable, and easily removable for simplified charging. In other words, there's plenty of juice to take you to and from work, a trip to the grocery store, or even to that new café on the other side of the city. If you wish to see exactly how far you can go on a charge, have a look at our Turbo Range Calculator for more exact estimates.

The new wired Turbo Connect Display (TCD-w) is the best way to view data on your Turbo. It not only displays important ride metrics (speed, cadence, rider power, distance, battery level, time, etc.), it also allows you to connect the latest version of the Mission Control App for an enhanced Turbo experience. With our free app for iOS and Android phones, you easily customize motor parameters, control your range, record/upload rides, and perform basic system diagnosis.

For this model, we included smooth and agile 650b wheels have been paired with cushy 2.3-inch tires, so it can roll over most cracks, bumps, and holes with ease to ensure that nothing stands in your way on your path to a good time. And to top off all of these innovative features, we spec'd it with components that are sure to keep you rolling worry-free for the long run. This means that you'll find Shimano 9-speed components, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and bright LED lights at the front and rear of the bike.

    Battery installation

The battery is very difficult to install. I remove the battery for charging. Reinstalling it is a challenge. Any suggestions ? I found a you tube demo but it is overly simplistic. Overall unhelpful. I have the step thru model. Otherwise the bike is a quality product marred only by the battery issue. Any guidance will be gladly welcomed. Thank you

    It makes biking fun.

The low entry is easier to get on. I'm 72 and I have over 2,100 miles on mine since April 2019. I put snow tires on which really helps in the shoulder season. I'm planning to get a new battery as I can probably only ride 30 miles at level 2. The battery is getting weaker, but a new one costs about $ 1,000. I really enjoy my Como.

    Life-Changer!

After renting this for a day and being able to do 40 miles no sweat, AND keep up with my super-fit husband, I was sold. I'm moderately active at 45, but my husband and most of my friends are athletes and work out every day. This bike lets me keep up with them on long rides, regardless of the terrain! Take that, hills! I am no longer a limiting factor on our group rides, and my husband loves being able to go about twice as fast when it's just the 2 of us. I've tried other E-Bikes, and their assist is noisy and/or jumpy. The Turbo Como is silent and super smooth! I love this bike and am so happy about all of the new adventures and possibilities that are within my reach now.

    I love this bike!

I purchased my Como 3.0 on July 30th and as of today, August 27th, I have put 524 miles on it so far! I live in a town in a river valley, so anyplace I go, there are hills. Climbing the hills does not hinder my rides! I am 64 years old and had a total right knee replacement 2.5 years ago. My knee feels so good since I purchased my bike. I have a basket on the front and usually take one of my pooches along for the ride. They love it too!

I love it but have too many problems.

Everything keeps getting loose. Had it in five times now and still creaking. Service so far has been horrible. It was only a few weeks old before everything started to give on it. It's not the first Specialized bike I've had but it maybe my last. Don't think it is the brand as much as it is the service from where I got it. Wish I could post a video here of the sounds it makes.

    Would definitely buy again

Wife and I purchased a pair of 2020 Como 3.0 less than six weeks ago. Already put 300 miles on them. So much fun. At almost 70 years old it has brought so much joy into biking again.😎. Even riding uphill on the Root river trail was no problem. Thanks for a great product

I loved it so much we bought two

I have been an avid bike rider my entire life. Now in my late 60's this bike allows me to get out and move without killing myself. I can still get a great workout and can ride pretty much anywhere without being limited by terrain.

RIDING AN eBIKE AT AGE 86

I purchased the Como 2.0 the summer of 2018. It's two years later now and I love riding this bike. Still get the exercise, but I don't have to strain myself. When I let someone ride it they say, ""I've got to have one.""
