    2019 Men's Turbo Vado 3.0

If you can characterize your life as on-the-go, busy, or not having enough time, we made a bike for you—the Turbo Vado 3.0. It's made to accommodate busy lives that are always in movement, which is why we took our exclusive, award-winning pedal-assist technology and accelerated it into the future.

Beginning with the integrated Specialized 1.2 motor, the Vado proves itself as the ultimate city bike. It features a silently operating design with our Custom Rx Street tune that takes the output and makes it the most usable for the urban environment. Think of it this way: The more power you put out, the more power the motor puts out, and this makes accelerations from a standstill both quick and efficient. The belt driven motor is also smooth, silent, and free of annoying vibrations. Perfect.

For the Vado 3.0, we developed a custom 460 Wh battery, the Specialized U1-460, that seamlessly integrates into the frame, is lockable, and is easily removable for simplified charging. Depending on your riding style, terrain, and setup, there's plenty of juice to take you to and from work, make a trip to the grocery store, or to even head over to that new café on the other side of town.

We also developed a custom 2.2-inch smart computer that lets you view your battery level and toggle various ride metrics such as speed, distance, and time. You can also peruse these screens via the custom handlebar remote without ever removing your hands from the bars.

To top off all of the innovative features, we chose a worry-free spec on the Turbo Vado 3.0, so it features Shimano 10-speed components, hydraulic disc brakes, racks, and fenders.

    Great investment

I bought a Vado 3.0 mens size small for my wife. She has riding a traditional road bike for 11 years. Her cruising speed is 16-17mph, my cruising speed is 20-22mph. This always made riding together difficult. Now she can ride 22-25mph with occasional 28mph sprints. She really enjoys the more upright riding position and stability the Vado provides. We are having so much fun riding together. We have completed several 60+ mile rides, so the range on the battery has not been an issue. We have two minor complaints. Occasionally, the pedal assist does not operate when first turning the bike on. We simple have to shut the power off and re-start it and then power assist is available. Second the rear Trigger Sport Reflect, 700x47mm tire had a side wall ""blow out"" and had to be replaced. If a couple want to ""level the playing field"" the Vado Turbo is just the ticket.

    Great bike!

My intention was to buy 2 new Como 5.O's but my retailer informed me the small was on back order. I wanted the cruiser type stance for comfort. There was a Turbo Vado 3.0 on the floor and I rode it and I liked it. Actually I loved it. I bought the 3.0 for myself and ordered a Small lilac 3.0 step thru for my wife. I have a very steep incline to dig out of from my house. I'm 52 and zig zagging up the hill in 21st gear on my hybrid or walking bike up is a huge disincentive to ride out from my house. No more. Wife and I who are in pretty decent shape for age (but certainly can do better) can easily get up the hill. It's still a workout but now it's fun. I live in a small hilly town so this bike is a godsend. I've been riding it to work, to the store, to my massage therapist, to the cafe, to the anywhere I can make an excuse to ride it. I've lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks too. The Vado is sturdy and inspires confidence while navigating corners and turns and downhill. I've been to an indicated 48mph and it doesn't feel like a bike. Very solid. My only nit is I'd like to be a pinch more upright but not if I lose the control I have with the current configuration. Oh and the headlight is very good. Light pattern reminds me of my JWSpeaker headlights on my Jeep and the tail light is very visible. If you're looking for a legit 28mph commuter, this is it.

    Love it

Love this bike. I use it everyday to commute 6 miles each way to school. It's integrated batter is inconspicuous which is nice. I can haul butt and make the trip in about 20 minutes or so on the bike path through Boston. It is heavy to carry down stairs into the basement but manageable. One other minor issue was the included rack. It is a racktime rack and you have to buy accessories that work with it. Fortunately they were available on Amazon. Headlight is awesome for night and taillight seems like it's pretty visible too. Never looked at it from a distance though. Battery life is decent as well. Can ride about 3 days without charging in eco mode. Two days if I use turbo.
