Terrible instructions; Great looking fender

It took me days to figure this one out. I bought this for a specialized Sirrus 2.0 and the main bolt (8mm) did not fit the 6mm hole provided to put on the front fender! Mind you, this is a plug and play bike made by Specialized!! So, I'm not sure if it's the bike construction to blame or the fender. I had to buy black bolts And screws from another vendor (which are not stainless) to circumvent this issue. No one makes this bolt and screw so you have to be creative. Then, I discovered I had to buy metal shears to cut the fender stays down. Basically, It goes on and on. I eventually got the fenders on, and they look sleek. If you like a horrific, frustrating, puzzle, then these are for you!

I like the look and they knock down the spray.

I like the look and they knock down the spray. It took some careful fitting to get them to match my bike (Di2); but not the end of the world if you are OK with spending some time and enjoy the process. (I understand other's frustration.) Once the rods are cut to size; it's closer to Plug + Play. Curious decision to have you remove the back wheel to get to the set screws (my particular frame - 2015 Diverge Pro). I can't see why coming from the outside would affect the integrity of the frame. There are more ""full wrap"" fenders out there that will do a more complete job of knocking down the water. But they look a lot clunkier and dare I say less aero. These are pretty svelte as far as fenders go. (Wish I could upload pics for you.) I use them for road riding with a group. Riders appreciate the reduction in spray. Overall they are the best option out there for my requirements. Hope this helps others.

Very misleading use of 'plug and play'

Bought these for a Specialised Diverge. They are not plug and play. I've installed the front mudguard and as a result my front wheel is no longer quick release. I will need to saw through metal to make it so. The instructions are appalling to the point that a lot of the installation is guesswork. I'll reserve judgement on the rear one as I don't have the appropriate tool to complete the installation, but the fact it needs a hole drilled in it doesn't really fit with my idea of plug and play. On the plus side they are light and look good quality, but for the price the fixings should be better. They should also be supplied with the required allen keys. You need a tiny 2mm one and two 5mm keys to install the front mudguard. If I'd known it would be this much hassle I'd have just got cheap plastic ones for a fraction of the prices.

Plug + Play Fender Set v2 Review

Very nice fenders. Solid, do not rattle over bumps and nice matte finish. Hard to tell they're on the bike really. I like that they have only one fender stay per. This doesn't seem to compromise the integrity at all and gives the fenders a minimalist look. And, there are no struts sticking out of the top of any mounting brackets. I'm not sure why other reviewers had problems with these. Though the instructions are a bit lacking, it was pretty intuative how they went on and are adjusted. As with most full fenders, there is a little bit of fiddling to get them centered and spaced properly, but once done, that's it. For my application there was not cutting or drilling as with some fenders (though the strut/stay sticks out an inch or so, I could cut it off). Mine wasn't a plug and play, but the necessary hardware was included to mount them into the braze on's my bike has. I'm running 28's on my bike and these fenders do a great job of keeping the muck off me and my bike. Packaged securely and shipped quickly.

Not Plug and Play - Avoid

This is a universal kit, that does not fit any model well. I read the negative reviews and thought ""They cannot be that bad"" - turns out they ARE actually that bad.
