660-Mile Epic Ride to Interbike in the Name Of Breast Cancer Awareness.
In an effort to gain awareness in the fight against breast cancer and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Specialized President - Mike Sinyard, staff, dealers, Phil Keoghan - host of The Amazing Race and journalists rode 660 miles from Morgan Hill, CA to the Las Vegas Interbike show. Starting on September 17th, the team rode between 100 and 150 miles a day on a challenging course that winds through Mt. Hamilton, Tioga Pass and Death Valley—with approximately 50,000 ft. of climbing—before reaching Vegas on September 22nd.

Mike Sinyard, Founder and President of Specialized Bicycles feels strongly about the Susan G Komen for the Cure program. "We are lucky to be able to use the bike - a great vehicle for change - to improve the world we all live in. We are riding to raise awareness to battle breast cancer." Sinyard adds, "Four people who are close to me are battling cancer, so this cause is very close to home. We can find a cure if we all work together."
