It took a few rides to really notice, but this is the greatest upgrade imaginable. It turns out that I have been riding on a foam-covered brick for the last 15 years and had no idea that a saddle could actually make a ride better. Some good things: 1) the wings move with my hips, so the support is not dependent on my legs and but conforming to the saddle. Instead, it feels like the saddle is almost wrapped around my legs and butt;2) the nose is cushy in just the right spots and is the right size to almost disappear when I am riding; 3) the cut out placement actually receives pressure. I am not sure my old saddle did after feeling what the phenom does. Some not as good things; 1) Elaston is NOT riding on a hundred little pillows. This is a foam pad on a bicycle and while it is comfortable, I doubt the different between Elaston and regular foam would be noticable to most people. Save money and downgrade a little; 2) the oversize carbon rails take a bit of getting used to as they are super shock absorbing. I feel like I have to check the saddle a few times during a ride to make sure the seat is not broken. I imagine this will lessen over time, but I do feel like I have broken the saddle on every ride so far. All in all, this was a great purchase. I used to think my old saddle was tailor made for my butt, but after just a few rides, the phenom is more comfortable. I wish I bought it years ago.
