Jaroslavs Kulhavi un Annika Langvada izcīna 2014 Pasaules Maratona Čempiona titulus.
Ar Pasaules Maratona Čempiona titulu Jaroslavs Kulhavi pievienojās savam komandas biedram Kristofam Sauzeram un abi ir visu trīs UCI XC godalgu ieguvēji. Tas padara S-Works Epic 29er par vienīgo velosipēdu, kas ieguvis visus trīs šos nozīmīgos apbalvojumus.
Jaroslavs bija ļoti aizkustināts par savu uzvaru.

"This is an amazing feeling, because I now have everything," Jaroslav said modestly. "I am very satisfied, because at the start of the season I was injured and had a lot of technical problems. This race was fast, and it let me prove the shape I was in. The first 15kms were very hard for me. I couldn't keep my cadence and was falling off the back. From the feed zone, I decided to attack on the downhill and felt better and better afterward. I gained maybe one minute, and it was a very important moment of the race. It wasn't easy. It became very technical and there were long steep climbs, but my fitness was great and the Epic felt amazing. The full-suspension was the best choice because the track was very bumpy and technical. I love this bike. For this race I ran Roval Control SL wheels, 1.95-inch Renegade tires. These tires were amazing, and although the course was slippery the traction was perfect. The next race is the XC National Champs, followed by the Mont Sainte Anne World Cup. My next goal is to win XC World Champs in Norway."
On the women's side, Annika Langvad piloted her Project Black full-suspension race bike with carbon Roval wheels to the top spot on the podium.
Langvad was excited about her bike choice and race day Setup.
"The new bike is a lot lighter," says the newly crowned champion. "I think it's really cool how the bike incorporates women¹s XC Racing geometry, and I know this bike will appeal to so many women racers. Having the option to choose either a hardtail or full-suspension bike is a huge advantage for me, as I've personally always performed so much better on full-suspension bikes. I like having wider tires up front, so I decided to ride the Fast Trak 2.2-inch. I also like having a tire that rolls a little faster in the rear, so I chose the 1.9-inch Renegade."
Rounding out an incredible day for Specialized Racing, former Marathon champion Christoph Sauser, and teammate Tereza Hurikova, joined them on the podium by taking the bronze medals.
