I’ve now had my SWorks Creo for over a month, after riding a SWorks Tarmac SL6 for few years. The Creo is an amazing piece of kit, well integrated, smooth and runs flawlessly. I do about 300-400km a week on it weather permitting in mountainous coastal Spain. It has enabled me to cycle up to any level. My capability on the Tarmac means I’m a reasonable club level cyclist averaging about 26kmph in the mountains and 30+ on the flat. With the Creo on level 1 I can ride with top club cyclists, on 2 with elite level and on 3 give MVP a run for his money on local KOMs. The range is extensive, up to 200km taking it reasonably conservatively with the range extender. I was concerned about peer group reaction, but so far it’s been positive. The biggest positive I can say is it makes you smile every time you ride it, it’s like your best day ever on the bike every day and that means for me it’s made cycling with anyone always very enjoyable; and isn’t that the point?

I know there is no fountain of youth. But the S-Works Turbo Creo SL is the closest thing I have found. You can ride with your friends and leave the electric motor off and get the same workout as everyone else. But if you you are in your 60’s like me then you may occasionally find yourself at the end of the peloton with the risk of getting dropped. This new bike purchased this year has transformed my life. It has removed all anxiety that occurs with an approaching climb. The is no fear of lagging behind anymore. There are three levels to choose from. The lowest (eco) makes you feel 5 years younger. The middle level makes you feel 10 years younger and the highest level (turbo) makes you feel 20 years younger. A Time Machine.

I am a 66 year old ~5000 mile a year rider. My lowering power output with age became much more noticeable in my sixties. This made some of my longer mountainous rides much less enjoyable and out of reach. The Creo makes it possible again to do these rides again in even better times. I ride with the same intensity on or off the Creo but the faster pace possible even in ECO mode tends to invigorate me to ride even harder.
