I most admire? Jose Hermida. He won the first world champs XCO race I did in 1996, as well as the last one in 2010. He is a showman and he just LOVES the sport.

When I was a child, I wanted to grow up to be? Doctor & soccer player who was able to play the violin. Thankfully I realized early that I was terrible at stringed instruments.
My first job was? Laundry at Ashdown House boarding school in England.
I most admire? Entrepreneurs. I love reading autobiographies about passionate people, whether they’re involved in sports, adventures, business etc…
Away from cycling I enjoy? Studying a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, café time with friends, X-box gaming, gardening with my fiancé, reading articles in Sports Medicine
Before I retire I want to? Win the Mitchelton Bay Crit Series overall. Race professionally overseas. Race with the Aust team. Develop media skills to aid the growth of women’s cycling. Explore my potential in elite cycling.

Before I retire I want to? How long have you got…. become a professional cyclist in a top UCI women’s team, ride for Scotland at the 2014 commonwealth games, qualify for the Olympics in 2016, ride for Great Britain in a World cup. When I retire from cycling I would like to volunteer in Africa with working elephants in Asia and Africa to improve their welfare. ( as long as I can take my bike!)

Most memorable sporting achievement: The first race I won outright which was in C grade with the Southern vets. I was the only girl and I caught them by surprise. But the biggest and the best so far would have to be winning stage 3 in Battle of the Border 2012

My first job was? My first job was a paper round when I was 12. I sort of inherited it from my brother when he went to China with school. I was given the newsagent’s bike which was really old (probably from the 1950’s), and I got paid $20 a week to deliver around 100 papers which I thought was pretty amazing back then :)
